Rudding Park Hotel wins ‘large hotel of the year’
Harrogate’s Rudding Park Hotel, Spa & Golf won Yorkshire’s ‘Large Hotel of the Year’ at The White Rose Awards last night and now go on to represent Yorkshire at the Visit England Awards for Excellence.
These prestigious awards presented by the official tourism agency, Welcome to Yorkshire, are the biggest tourism awards in the UK.
Peter Banks, Managing Director of Rudding Park, said: “Winning the White Rose Awards’ ‘Large Hotel of the Year’ is proof that, amongst strong competition, an independent hotel can match and beat the most famous hotel groups in British hospitality.”
“The opening of our new 48 bedroom extension, spa and 14 seat private cinema, earlier this year has seen us enhance our facilities and guests’ experience. The whole team continue to take great pride in surprising and delighting our guests time after time so to receive this accolade is wonderful recognition for their exceptional efforts.”
Over the years, numerous special guests have stayed at Rudding Park including Bill Clinton, George Bush Snr, Mikhail Gorbachev, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and John Cleese.
