New Developments make York more popular than ever
The City of York is moving up the rankings in the top 10 of locations for meetings according to the latest information from the UK Tourism Survey. Now placed 7th, York puts its success down to the growth in conference venues in the city. Venues such as The Grand Opera House with its newly refurbished meeting room – The Empire Room (in addition to its 1000 seater auditorium), The Grand Opera House and Grays Court (dating back to 1080) offer stylish and historic venues for meetings.
In addition Cedar Court Hotels are on schedule to complete their conversion of the old railway headquarters in Station Rise, York, as work continues on a £20 million restoration project to create York’s first 5 star hotel and conference venue.
